Magdalena Żebrowska
Magdalena Żebrowska holds a Master of Science (MSc, 2006) and Doctoral degree (PhD, 2012) in Mathematics from the Wrocław University, Poland. In her PhD thesis in bayesian statistics she investigated the performance of regression methods in detection of genes responsible for quantitative traits in experimental crosses. Afterwards, Magdalena came to Vienna to hold a post-doc position in Medical Statistics at the Medical University of Vienna. She was working at the Center for Medical Statistics, Informatics and Intelligent Systems (CEMSIIS) in the group of prof. Martin Posch in research project about adaptive designs in clinical trials supported by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF).
In November 2020 Magdalena joined the Department of Epidemiology at the Medical University of Vienna, where she is working on causal associations and longitudinal relationships within the Growing Up Today Study (GUTS) and the Nurses Health Study II cohorts and is further developing her interests in the field of genetic epidemiology.
