Block 22/23 - Von den Gesundheitsbedürfnissen der Gesellschaft zu klinischen Implikationen

General Education Objective:
In Block 22/23, in Chapter 1 "Health Care System", basic principles of health care system research, health care research, health economics, insurance medicine and quality assurance in the health care system are taught in lectures, and the medical application of this content, particularly with regard to error management and targeted medical care, is deepened in seminars. In the same way, the knowledge gained will be applied in the form of Moodle-based guided self-study using the example of care for patients with diabetes mellitus. Furthermore, lectures on medical law and medical ethics as well as ethics in the health care system will be held in chapters 2 and 3, as well as a seminar on ethical medical practice. In the main topic of preventive medicine (chapter 4), the basics of preventive medicine, occupational medicine, environmental medicine, travel medicine and rehabilitation are discussed in lectures and these contents are deepened in seminars and practical courses. In chapter 5 of the block with contents of geriatrics, the most important physiological prerequisites of aging and geriatric symptoms and syndromes are discussed in lectures and, in particular, the various dimensions of geriatric assessment are practiced in seminars. In the geriatrics concentration, clinical as well as ethical, legal, preventive, rehabilitative and care-related content is covered.
