euHS_I inventory
euHS_I inventory version 1.0, 2017

The euHS_I inventory is provided as a Microsoft Excel® workbook (Excel® 2013). It contains three tabs:

  1. The first tab "Source key" gives an overview of the coded sources.
  2. The second tab "Full inventory" displays the full list of indicators extracted from included and screened initiatives as given.
  3. The third tab "euHS_I consolidated" provides the consolidated and adjusted list of indicators. It consists of a thematic chapter assessment and a synthesized mapping to the corresponding initiative.

All columns include filters that can be sorted and searched with individual terms. A short description of the columns and entries included is given below.

  • All references grouped: origin of included initiative coded as "A" for EC, "B" for OECD, "C" for WHO, "D" for other international initiatives, and "E" for EU Member States.
  • Full source reference: full reference of the original initiative the indicator was extracted from
  • Indicator reference code: if given in the original initiative
  • Indicator name: the name of the indicator given in the original initiative
  • Definition/Label: if given in the original initiative; "n/a" indicates that this information was not available
  • Calculation: if given in the original initiative; "n/a" indicates that this information was not available
  • Rationale: if given in the original initiative, the explanation why a certain choice was made; "n/a" indicates that this information was not available
  • Unit: if given in the original initiative; "n/a" indicates that this information was not available
  • Data source of indicator: if given in the original initiative; "n/a" indicates that this information was not available
  • Decomposition/Disaggregation: refers to the disaggregation level as given in the original initiative, e.g. income group (higher, lower, average), age, gender, level of education, ethnicity/race, etc.; "n/a" indicates that this information was not available
  • Link to data source: if given in the original initiative; "n/a" indicates that this information was not available
  • Link to Metadata: if given in the original initiative; "n/a" indicates that this information was not available
  • OECD Health at a Glance Category: refers to the thematic topic the respective indicator was assessed by the authors with the following key
