This session (SY007) will introduce the VEGANScreener – a newly developed and validated web-based dietary screening tool designed to assess the quality and nutritional adequacy of vegan diets. Through a series of expert presentations, you will gain insight into:
- Validation results for the VEGANScreener against dietary records and biomarkers
- Diet patterns, nutritional status, and metabolic health in European vegans
- Wellbeing and flourishing in vegans
- The role of choline and omega-3 fatty acid intake and status in relation to mental health and sleep
The session will conclude with an interactive discussion with members of the VEGANScreener consortium — a chance to explore how this tool can be used in research, practice, and policy.
