STREAMLINE Symposium, 23 January 2026, 10.00-13.30
Knowledge creates impact | Mental health care in Vienna
Hotel Regina, Rooseveltplatz 15, 1090 Wien
Around 18% of the Austrian population suffer from mental health problems and the demand for mental health services that are more accessible and better connected is steadily increasing. Addressing these complex needs of those affected and their families is a major challenge.
The STREAMLINE project, funded by the Vienna Science and Technology Fund (WWTF) and led by the Department of Health Economics at the Medical University of Vienna in collaboration with three other scientific project partners (AIHTA, GÖG, Loyola University), addresses this challenge by mapping existing services in Vienna across health and social care, education, the labour market, the justice sector, and the informal sector, analyse their costs, and link results to existing data on demand and reimbursement.
The STREAMLINE Symposium is the project’s final stakeholder event where key findings will be presented (in English) followed by an expert panel discussion (in German) with a focus on potential opportunities to make mental health services in Vienna more accessible and better integrated in the future.
