The project aims to contribute to a better understanding of health literacy in the context of the European Union. The services offered include (1) a systematic analysis of existing knowledge regarding health literacy interventions in EU Member States; (2) a mapping of policies and actions aimed at improving health literacy in EU Member States and (3) establishing a model of determinants of health literacy using publicly available information sources. The consortium leader is NIVEL – the Netherlands Institute for Health Services Research.
