The National Reference Centre for Post-Viral Syndromes has a new website at http://postviral.at. The website serves as a central information and service platform for healthcare professionals and provides a comprehensive overview of the Reference Centre's tasks, services and current events.
The new website was developed with the aim of providing information in a clear, accessible and up-to-date manner. Visitors will find specialist information, current publications, news and events, among other things.
Another new feature is the secure exchange platform for healthcare professionals, which provides a space for professional dialogue, knowledge transfer and interdisciplinary collaboration. Registered users can discuss topics, share documents and create their own surveys.
The National Reference Centre for Post-Viral Syndromes began operating on 11 September 2024 and is headed by Associate Professor PD DDr. Eva Untersmayr-Elsenhuber and University Professor PD Dr. Kathryn Hoffmann, MPH. It was commissioned by the Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection and, following a call for tenders in Europe, was awarded to the Medical University of Vienna (Centre for Pathophysiology, Infectiology and Immunology & Centre for Public Health, Department of Primary Care Medicine) after a highly competitive process. The reference centre operates as a central knowledge hub and knowledge exchange in the field of post-viral syndromes.
